How to use Plain Sea Moss Gel.

Updated: Dec 11, 2022

Sea moss gel is getting very popular in the holistic health community! Many of our new customers have heard about sea moss gel and may have even tried it before but the #1 question is we get from people wanting to purchase is: "How do you use sea moss?".

Personally, I prefer our Fruit Infused gel because it tastes great.

To make your own you'll need:

1 blender

4oz of plain sea moss gel

1 cup of your favorite fruit for flavor

1oz of coconut water for hydration

1oz of local honey and 1oz of agave nectar for sweeteners.

Blend and viola! You've got a great healthy snack. Store in a jar and keep refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.

Plain gel typically doesn't have a taste to it. It may have a fishy smell depending on how it's prepared (we use limes to take it away) but the texture gets to be a thick jelly-like texture that doesn't go down well for me. Hence, why I usually opt for our Fruit Infusinons. I do, however, like to use plain gel around that time of the month because I get a noticeable energy boost when I use it regularly.

When I choose to use plain gel I will mix 1 tbsp into my hot tea or I use it as a smoothieingredient and put the recommended daily amount: 2 tbsp's.

It will mix well with anything hot like oatmeal, soups, stews, and coffee. There are definitely people, like our founder, that can take it as is by the spoonful. Sea moss helps with her muscle and joint pain from her days of being an athlete.

I hope this has given you some great tips on how to use your plain sea moss gel! We'd love to hear how you incorporate it into your diet!
